Assertive to Exclamatory

Exclamatory to Assertive

Rule-1:  সাধারণত a/an diterminator এর আগে what বসে adjective বাদ দিয়ে এর পরের অংশ থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত অথবা objective পর্যন্ত তারপর subject থেকে শুরু করে verb এর আগ পর্যন্ত বসবে। আর যদি বাকি অংশ থাকে সেটা বসবে।

প্রথমে subject বসে + verb + a/an + very/great + adjective +object +বাকী অংশ।

i.e.

Assertive: It is a very nice flower. Exclamatory: What a nice flower it is!

Assertive: He is a very genius student. Exclamatory: What a genius student he is!

 

Exercise:

1. They live in a very beautiful house. 2. Lisa is wearing a very nice dress today. 3. I met a very good person in NY. 4. Ben is a great adorable baby. 5. She wore a very beautiful dress. 6. He writes a great meaningless letters. 7. She wore a very beautiful dress. 8. I have participate a great mathematical puzzle. 9. You wear a heavy woolen clothes. 10. Mary has a collection of expensive Russian dolls. 11. I married a nice American woman. 12. My forefather had an expensive wooden boat. 13. I experienced a very big biological experiment. 14. I love the really big old green antique car that is always parked at the end of the street. 15. We had a wonderful Old Italian clock.




 

Rule-2:  সাধারণত noun less adjective এর আগে how বসে adjective এর পরের অংশ থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত অথবা objective পর্যন্ত তারপর subject থেকে শুরু করে verb এর আগ পর্যন্ত বসবে।আর যদি বাকি অংশ থাকে সেটা বসবে।

প্রথমে subject বসে + verb + very/great + adjective + বাকী অংশ।

i.e.

Assertive: It is very nice.                                                        Exclamatory:  How nice it is!

Assertive: The Muslim community in NY is very big. Exclamatory: How big The Muslim community in NY is!

 

Exercise: 1. the girl is very beautiful 2. The scenery is very charming 3. The polar bear is very threatened .4. This soup is very edible.5. This glass is breakable. 6. Linda’s hair is gorgeous. 7. This shop is much nicer. 8. The girl was very talkative.





Rule-3: Hurrah এর পরিবর্তে it is a matter of joy/delight/rejoice that +এর পরের অংশ।

i.e.

Exclamatory– Hurrah! We have won the game.   Assertive– It is a matter of joy that we have won the game.  

Exclamatory: Hurrah! We have won the game.        Assertive– It is a matter of delight/rejoice that we have won the game.

 

Exercise: 1. Hurrah! Steve Jobs stands and announces this.2. We've done it. Hurrah! 3. Hurrah! Mark's broken the 73.80 - meter record in the hammer. 4. Let's give the team a big. Hurrah! 5. His unsuccessful senate run was his last. Hurrah! 6. Mainstream Keynesian economics is facing its last. Hurrah! 7. The assistants raised a formidable hurrah! 8. Hurrah! At the knocker and ring at the bell.9. He called his book, Hurrah! 10. It was a last, hurrah! 11. Hurrah! It could be his last.

 



Rule-4: If দ্বারা exclamatory sentence শুরু হলে উক্ত sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম –

 If এর পরিবর্তে I wish+এর পরের অংশ।

i.e.

Exclamatory: If I were a player!                             Assertive– I wish I were a player.

Exclamatory: If I study.                                                                                                                Assertive– I wish I study.

 

Exercise: 1. If I find her address, 2. If I found her address.3. If you love me.4. If I had never met you.5. If opportunity knocks.6. If you want to make friends.7. If you want. 8. If I am not late to school.9. If you don’t do your homework. 10. If I hadn’t eaten so much candy. 11. If you are happy. 12. If there is snow. 13. If I cook.14. If you don’t mind. 15. If it is snowing. 16. If Jane is cooking dinner.

 



Rule-5: Had দ্বারা exclamatory sentence শুরু হলে উক্ত sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম –

Had এর পরিবর্তে I+ wished + Subject + had + বাকী অংশ

i.e.

Exclamatory: Had i had enough money       Assertive– I wished I had had enough money

Exclamatory: Had I the pairs of birds!                Assertive– I wished I had the pairs of birds.

Exercise: 1. had it rained .2. Had I gotten wet? 3. Had you gotten wet? 4. Had it had rained.5? Had you passed your exam .6? Had you worked harder? 7. Had you worked harder? 8. Had I passed your exam? 9. Had I believed you? 10. Had you not lied to me before? 11. Had you not lied to me before? 12. Had I believed you? 13. Had i visited you.14? Had I known you were in hospital? 15. Had I visited you? 16. Had he bought you a present 17? Had I bought you a present.



Rule-6:  Alas দ্বারা exclamatory sentence শুরু হলে উক্ত sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম –

Alas এর পরিবর্তে it is a matter of sorrow that+ বাকী অংশ

i.e.

Exclamatory: Alas! We lost the game.       Assertive: It is a matter of sorrow that we lost the game. Exclamatory: Alas! I couldn't keep her.    Assertive: It is a matter of grief that I couldn't keep her.

Exercise: 1. Alas! I have dared only too much already. 2. Alas! The danger was too great. 3. Alas! Woman and child have missed their opportunity. 4. Alas! I think I've got plans. 5. Alas! I forget what I have to do.6.Alas! We have lost.  7. Alas! Our exam is knocking at the door.  8. Alas! They are at risk. 9. Alas! You ruined the car. 10. Alas! He is sick. 11. Alas! It is risk. 12. Alas! I have failed. 13. Alas! Our food is spoiled.


Rule-7:  Oug!/ Fie! যুক্ত exclamatory কে Assertive করতে হলে

Fie এর পরিবর্তে it is shameful that + এর পরের অংশ

Exclamatory: Fie! He cannot tolerate the poor.    Assertive: It is shameful that he cannot tolerate the poor.

Exclamatory: Fie! He don’t respect seniors.         Assertive: It is shameful that he don’t respect seniors.


Rule-8:  would that যুক্ত exclamatory কে Assertive করতে হলে

প্রদত্ত subject + wish + would that এর পরের অংশ

Exclamatory: Would that I could be a player!              Assertive: I wish I could be a player.

Exclamatory: Would that I could be a child again!      Assertive: I wish I could be a child again.


Rule-9:  o that যুক্ত Exclamatory কে Assertive করতে হলে

Subject + wish + o that এর পরের অংশ

Exclamatory: O that you were a cricketer!                  Assertive: I wish you were a cricketer.

Exclamatory: O that I were a poet.                              Assertive: I wish I were a poet.
